It was so fun to work with a slightly larger family with older children, such beautiful children to photograph. And now that they’re older they don’t need as much “prompts” as I would normally give to toddlers.

I like to give them small tasks—“Pretend to tickle Mom’s nose with yours!” or “Look up at the ceiling… now at me!” These little prompts keep the kiddos engaged and bring out their most genuine expressions. Plus, it’s way better than everyone yelling “Smile!” at the same time (been there, done that).
